The Professional Medical SPA Specialty Program delivers the cutting-edge education you’ll need to succeed in this growing fast paced career. Experienced instructors along with a medical spa environment and hands on client services assures our students will have the confidence & knowledge needed to be spa ready to meet the ever-increasing demands of the industry. Advanced equipment is available throughout the course to provide hands-on time to build experience and confidence in Electrolysis, Microdermabrasion (Crystals), Laser, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy).

Health and Safety

Sterilization, disinfection, skin diseases, contraindications, sanitation standards, infection control, bacteria and viruses, material disposal, emergency situations and safety equipment health and well-being – proper body posture and positioning. Pollution and its effects

SPA Business Basics

Entrepreneur skills, finances, work ethics, resume building, salon operations, marketing, promotion and sales strategies, time management, organizational skills, communication skills and conflict resolution. Profitability of the service.

Micro Needling

Micro Needling is an Advanced Antiaging Device that uses High Intensity focused RF (Radio Frequency) Technology to deliver on unparalleled outcomes. This course provides the theory, instruction and practical hands-on experience with our in-house equipment.

Microblading

This program is an in-depth training provided with the following included, introduction to microblading, layers of the skin, face symmetry & eyebrow measuring. Client consultation and assessments, indication and contraindications along with pre and post treatment care. Procedure protocols touch ups and sanitation and sterilization. Hands on practical Instructor will demonstrate the stroke techniques, client consultation and preparation. Application, healing, and prevention of pigment loss. Practice with live models to teach the prevention of eyebrow colour change and non-surgical eyebrow removal. Fixing errors and camouflaging. .

Skin Physiology

Full Knowledge of Hair Removal Application and the various methods including electrolysis. Functions of the Skin –Layers of the Skin, Histology & Trichology, Follicle Structure, Biological Hair Growth, Dynamics of Hair Growth and Variations of Follicle Structure.

Electrolysis (permanent hair removal)

Histology and structure of the hair. Biological causes of hair growth. Hair anatomy and development.

Microdermabrasion

Deep skin exfoliating and cell rejuvenation. Use of Corundum Crystals Treatment protocol, plus the chemical exfoliation used in Hydra Facia

Laser and IPL

Laser and light technologies, Hair removal, photo-rejuvenation, pigmentation and vascular. Interaction of laser light with tissue. Modes of laser and IPL operation and specification. Clinical results of laser hair removal – different types of Laser availabl
